Babies’ learning begins in pregnancy

Whilst having a healthy diet and lifestyle are important to promoting  healthy brain growth and baby development, so does responding to that first flutter and kick.

Connecting with your baby by talking to them and stroking your stomach  helps build their brain.

Its  important that very high levels of stress are not experienced during pregnancy for your own health and the future health of baby.

Unborn babies – I can hear you and the world around you

Its amazing to think that from around 20 weeks a baby can hear and recognise different voices whilst in the womb.

By singing and talking to your baby this will help them recognise the voices of their family members and helps calm and soothe them.

Unborn babies are so incredible they can hiccup, suck their thumb, swallow, yawn , sleep and exercise.

Skin to Skin – promotes development and wellbeing

Skin to Skin has so many benefits for both parents and babies and their brain development and growth.

Babies that are cuddled and held feel loved, secure and safe. They are often more content and less fussy – it is not possible to spoil a new baby.
