Illness and Immunisations

If you think you need help urgently during the day or night you should call 111. 

Most illnesses your child will experience are part of growing up and often helped by talking to your Midwife, Health Visitor, local Pharmacist or GP. Almost all babies, toddlers and children will get common child hood illnesses like chicken pox, colds, sore throats and earaches.

Parents/Carers and staff working with children are encouraged to look out for cold-like symptoms, which develop into persistent coughing, wheezing and difficulty breathing, as well as a loss of appetite and increased irritability.
